There are 3 types of people who you meet each day ~ those who build you up, those who tear you down, and those who don't care anything about you. Which one of those people are you? Become aware of how others experience you today. Think about your interactions yesterday ~ your conversations, attitudes, behaviors, and mindset expressed with those closest to you, as well as with others you interacted with. Which of these people would they say you were? You have the power to influence someone's life for the better today and cause them to be grateful for life...just because they encountered you. Decide you will use your life to encourage, inspire, uplift, and brighten those who encounter you. You can bring a smile to someone's face; provide a surprise; share a hug; express love, hope, joy; bring laughter and playfulness into another's life; do an unexpected favor; and become their favorite memory of the day. Start with those closest to you, and make it your business to be a builder, encourager, and blessing. You have something special to give to those around you. I'm the first to admit that life happens to everyone. There are no exceptions. However, I've come to encourage you. I know that losing that loved one has kept you in a state of shock and denial, losing that job has caused you to lose confidence in yourself, losing that spouse has ruined your idea of a Godly marriage and losing your faith in God has prevented you from fulfilling your purpose. The Bible teaches us that we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS! It also says, that the BATTLE ISN'T OURS BUT IT'S THE LORD'S. I speak blessings over your life. With GOD...There's no way you can lose! ..." we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." -Romans 8:37 Success is not convenient. You have to make room for it. Stop waiting for the ideal or perfect situation to show up in your life before you make your move. Now is the time to convert your prayers into performance. Faith without works is dead. There will never be a perfect time in life. If it's not one thing...it's another. So do what you can do, and do what you must do...NOW! Most people let things happen. You have the power to make things happen!! Keep your chin UP. Keep your head UP. Keep looking UP. And when life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look UP, you can get UP. Sorrow looks back, worry looks around, faith looks UP. When we let go of fear, only then can we gracefully move from what was into the miracle of what can be. Which Way Are You Looking Today? There comes a time in life when you must make the difficult decision to let certain things go: a negative attitude that you know no longer serves you; a relationship where you are dying together, rather than growing together; an addiction that you know is destroying you and does not represent your highest good. It takes courage to face the truth about who you are, the choices that you have been making in your life and to decide-- that is just not me anymore. I can't do this anymore. I have had it. It takes a level of self love, of dedication and determination to live your greatest life. So, look within. Look at every area of your life and ask yourself these questions: Am I on course? Am I growing mentally, emotionally and spiritually? Anything that is blocking that, anything that is preventing you from living your greatest life, make the tough decision to let it go. Life is about surrendering and releasing. Surrendering to the higher calling of your life and releasing all of the things, habits and behaviors that no longer serve you. You have something special…. As Your Trainer, I Will Get The Best Out Of YOU!! Stop right now. Take a look around. You must constantly ask yourself these questions:
If you say that you CAN'T, then chances are that you WON'T. We have to understand that your words have power. Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." When God created the heavens and the earth, He spoke and it came into existence. When the waters were troubled, Jesus spoke and it obeyed. When words are released into the atmosphere, then the seeds are planted. Going forward, don't say that your spouse is worthless. Don't say that your kids are bad. Don't say that you hate your job. Don't say that your vehicle is a piece of junk. Speak life into those things. No matter how bad things seem, you have the power to change them. Your words and your faith are key ingredients to changing the atmosphere. You will be prosperous. Your marriage will work. You will get that promotion. The doctor's report will be in your favor. Your child will come home. Your bills will be paid and you will be a blessing to others. As your "TRAINER" I strive to improve every aspect of your life. We are growing in our personal development TOGETHER!!!!!
What is your little voice saying to you?
When you hear that voice, recognize it for what it is and let it know that it is telling you lies. Get fired up and ready to go today! Through my mother's wonderful example, my brother and I learned that a truly joyful life is achieved when you give to others. And, around this time of year, we all feel a little more thankful and a little more generous than usual. After all, one of the familiar Christmas season sights are the red Salvation Army buckets and workers selflessly braving the elements to ring the bell. But many of us are overwhelmed throughout the holidays with the added to-dos of shopping, church and kids' activities and end-of-the-year work deadlines and parties. We know taking the time to give is important, but it is often forgotten in the hustle and bustle. That's why I've cooked up a few easy, low-cost ways for you to give back this season, all to honor the Ultimate Gift that this season is all about.
John 3:16- "For God so loved the world that he GAVE his one and only Son..." I'm not sure how many of you have read the book my brother and I wrote called "The Cleanse Begins: A Daily Detox to Prosperous Living," but I was recently thumbing through it and stopped to read the dedication. "It is our hope that the work of our hands and the sweat of our brows will leave a lasting and prosperous legacy for the future generations of our family." I have been thinking about legacy a lot lately. Two of the ladies on the Jay Lo Fitness team recently lost loved ones, and I am grieving with them. Death often makes us question our own mortality and consider what legacy we will leave behind. Though my brother and I have different fathers, we shared the DNA and genetic fiber of one of the strongest and most courageous women on the planet: Mrs. Fannie Loper. Through her unconditional love and unconventional discipline, we grew into successful businessmen, mentors and motivators. We are an important part of her legacy. We will all pass from this earth. What legacy will you leave behind for your children, your family, your friends? How do you want to be remembered? Are your daily habits laying the groundwork for the legacy you desire? Cast a vision for your life, create specific goals to help you get there and get ready to make 2016 your most purposeful yet. |
