Through my mother's wonderful example, my brother and I learned that a truly joyful life is achieved when you give to others. And, around this time of year, we all feel a little more thankful and a little more generous than usual. After all, one of the familiar Christmas season sights are the red Salvation Army buckets and workers selflessly braving the elements to ring the bell.
But many of us are overwhelmed throughout the holidays with the added to-dos of shopping, church and kids' activities and end-of-the-year work deadlines and parties. We know taking the time to give is important, but it is often forgotten in the hustle and bustle.
That's why I've cooked up a few easy, low-cost ways for you to give back this season, all to honor the Ultimate Gift that this season is all about.
