Acts 27 holds a deep revelation from God that I want to share with you. The story is about Paul sailing to Rome as a prisoner and getting shipwrecked along the way. After you read the passage, I challenge you to see yourself and your situation in this story.
When we are God's chosen, He will take us through some mighty powerful storms along our journeys. Sometimes there is good weather, and we see that as smooth sailing and we tend to get a little complacent. When things are good we pray to God and praise Him less. But then a mighty storm of life will rage and it will toss our lives into something that's not only scary but also life threatening. Just like in the story, we start throwing stuff overboard to lighten our load. We lose heart and just want to give up and die. It's in those storms that we seek God's help to save us. But God is telling us just like He told Paul that He will save us if we just stay together and trust Him completely.

As you read the story you will see that the ship they sailed on broke apart. Paul told the shipmates who could swim to swim to shore and those who couldn't to grab a hold to pieces of the boat to help them make it to shore. They all stayed together and they all made it.
Today God is telling you and me that our boat (marriages, business, finance, careers) may not look like it did when we first set sail, but we can't worry about what we once had, but rather grab a hold to what we have left because if we stay together, we can make it on broken pieces. What the devil tried to use to destroy you, God used to deliver you. God is bigger than your storm and bigger than your ship. So stay together, put your trust in God, hold on to what you got left and know you can make it on broken pieces.
