I KNOW..I KNOW..I KNOW.
It's cold and it makes you more likely to turn off that alarm and skip your workout. You'll tell yourself "I need more sleep," "I'll get it in later," "I'm getting too old for this," or some other justification (EXCUSE) you have come up with.
If you are having trouble getting up in the am to go to your workout, you got to develop a system for waking up.
Here is the Jay Lo Fitness System (Try it tomorrow )

If you are having trouble getting up in the am to go to your workout, you got to develop a system for waking up.
Here is the Jay Lo Fitness System (Try it tomorrow )
- Sleep in workout gear- This helps in 2 different ways A.) You wake up and your like "I'm already dressed, so I have to go" and B.) it cuts down on the amount of tasks you need to do before you leave. The more complicated you make it the harder it will be to get up.
- Position your alarm- Put your alarm at a place you physically have to get up and walk to turn it off. I can't tell you how many times I've turned the alarm off half asleep and didn't realize it. The longer it takes you to get to your alarm, the more time you have to shake off that sleepiness and any excuse.
- Have some "wake up juice" at your alarm- I always keep a Advocare's Spark at my alarm because it wakes me up in the morning. It's got a little filtered caffeine and vitamins for mental focus; it's something I look forward to that gets me Fired Up. It gives you that energy you need to wake up but, won't make you feel jittery.
So basically, my alarm wakes me up, I have to walk to it realizing I am already dressed and my rocket fuel (Spark) is waiting for me beside the alarm. It's a bulletproof system for me- hope it works for you too.
Let me know if you have any weird tricks for waking up that work for you. - Bonus step- accountability factor - It always helps to have someone or a group to meet like the people at Jay-Lo Fitness, If you are the only person keeping score of your accountability, then you can tend to make up the rules as you go.
